Homemade Uncrustable Peanut Butter and Jelly
A sealed, crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwich made the right way at home. The trick is keeping the jelly fully surrounded by peanut butter so nothing leaks out the edges.
Ingredients
- 2 slicessandwich bread
- —peanut butter
- —jelly
Steps
- 1
Lay out two slices of bread.
- 2
Spread peanut butter on both slices, covering the full surface all the way to the edges.
- 3
Spoon jelly into the center of one slice, keeping it inside the ring of peanut butter so it does not reach the edge.
- 4
Place the second slice peanut butter side down on top and line up the edges.
- 5
Press and seal the sandwich around the perimeter with a sandwich sealer or a cup rim, cutting away the crust.
Creator's notes
Jessica's whole point: people keep doing this wrong. Peanut butter goes on BOTH slices and the jelly stays sealed in the middle — that's what keeps it from leaking.
