PB&J Trail Mix Bark
Swirled white and dark chocolate bark loaded with leftover peanut butter and jelly trail mix. A no-bake, freezer-set treat that turns pantry stragglers into something worth fighting the kids over.
Ingredients
- 2 cupswhite chocolate melting wafers or chips
- 2 cupsdark chocolate melting wafers or chips
- 2 cupsPB&J trail mix
Steps
- 1
Line a cookie sheet or casserole dish with parchment paper.
- 2
Place the dark chocolate and white chocolate wafers in separate microwave-safe bowls. Microwave to melt, stirring each every 30 seconds until smooth.
- 3
Pour the white chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread it into an even layer with a rubber spatula.
- 4
Drizzle stripes of dark chocolate over the white chocolate, then lightly swirl by dragging the spatula across in long streaks perpendicular to the stripes.
- 5
Sprinkle the trail mix haphazardly over the chocolate.
- 6
Whack the dish on the counter a few times so all the trail mix bits settle into the chocolate.
- 7
Freeze for about 20 minutes, until the chocolate has fully set.
- 8
Remove from the freezer and break the bark up with your hands.
Creator's notes
Born from the pile of trail mix her kids left behind — she says to turn any pantry leftovers into bark. The swirl pattern didn't survive the spatula, and that's fine.
