Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders
A pork butt goes into the slow cooker with cowboy seasoning, honey barbecue sauce and a pile of garlic, then cooks low all day until it shreds. Piled onto slider buns with mac and cheese on the side, it's dinner without ever turning on the stove.
Ingredients
- 1pork butt
- —cowboy seasoning · store-bought or your own blend
- —honey barbecue sauce · about half a bottle; measure with your eyeballs
- —frozen whole garlic cloves · "approximately two metric tons"
- —slider buns
- —mac and cheese · optional, for serving
Steps
- 1
PLACE the pork butt in a slow cooker. Wash your hands after handling the raw meat and its packaging.
- 2
SEASON the pork generously with cowboy seasoning.
- 3
POUR in about half a bottle of honey barbecue sauce and add a whole lot of frozen garlic cloves.
- 4
COOK on low all day, until the pork is tender and shreds easily.
- 5
SHRED the pork and pile it onto slider buns. Serve with mac and cheese.
Creator's notes
Jessica makes this on the hottest days so the oven never heats up the house. She'd slice an onion in too if she felt like chopping, and the mac and cheese is unapologetically from the grocery store.
