Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix (Restaurant-Style Ranch)
A homemade dry ranch seasoning blend built on buttermilk powder, herbs, and alliums that reconstitutes into restaurant-style dressing or a thick, scoopable dip. Keep a jar on hand and ranch is always minutes away.
Ingredients
For the ranch dressing mix
- 1.5 cupdry buttermilk powder
- 3 Tbspdried parsley
- 2 Tbspgranulated garlic
- 1.5 Tbspgranulated onion
- 1.5 Tbspdried dill
- 1 Tbspdehydrated minced onion
- 1 Tbspdehydrated minced garlic
- 1 Tbspfreeze-dried chives
- 1 Tbspflaky salt
- 1 tspblack pepper
- 2 Tbspbutter powder · optional
For ranch dressing
- 3 Tbspranch dressing mix
- 1/2 cupmayo
- 1/2 cupmilk
For ranch dip
- 2 Tbspranch dressing mix
- 1 cupsour cream

Mix all of the dry mix ingredients together and transfer to a container with an airtight lid. There are no more steps — go do something fun, or reconstitute the mix using the instructions below.

For ranch dressing: measure 3 Tbsp dry mix into a mixing bowl.

Add the mayo and milk.

Whisk until smooth and fully combined, then chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

Use in whatever situations you might need ranch dressing — salads, chicken wings, etc.

For ranch dip: measure 2 Tbsp dry mix into a mixing bowl.
