Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes
Fluffy, tender baked potatoes made entirely in the slow cooker, so the oven never heats up your kitchen. Season them simply and pile on whatever toppings you like.
Ingredients
- 4russet potatoes · any size
- 2 Tbspavocado oil · you don't need to measure
- —Salt and black pepper
- —Toppings of choice · for serving
Steps
- 1
Wash the potatoes and poke them a few times with a fork or sharp knife to allow for venting.
- 2
Season the potatoes with avocado oil, salt and pepper in your slow cooker, then put the lid on.
- 3
Cook on high for 4 hours, until a knife inserted in the center of one of the potatoes meets little to no resistance.
- 4
Top the potatoes with anything you want — a taco-topped baked potato bar is a great option.
Creator's notes
A summer-friendly life hack: "bake" your potatoes in the slow cooker so you don't heat up the house.
