Air Fryer Brownies
Fudgy, gooey brownies with a shiny, crackly top and crisp edges, made in one bowl and baked in the air fryer. No stand mixer, no chopping chocolate — just a small pan of decadent chocolate in about 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cupsemisweet chocolate chips · 45g; divided
- 1/4 cupunsalted butter · 57g
- 1/2 cupgranulated sugar · 100g
- 1large egg
- 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
- 1/3 cupall-purpose flour · 40g
- 1/4 cupDutch-process cocoa powder · 25g
- 1/4 teaspoonsalt
Steps
- 1
Butter the bottom and sides of a 6-inch baking pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- 2
Place the chocolate chips and the butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted.
- 3
Whisk in the sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, and stir until well combined. If desired, stir an additional 1/4 cup of chocolate chips into the batter.
- 4
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- 5
Preheat the air fryer to 330°F.
- 6
Place the pan in the air fryer basket and cook until the top is crackly, the edges are set, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with fudgy batter, about 15 minutes.
- 7
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
Creator's notes
The brownies will continue to set up in the pan as they cool; cook an additional 3 to 5 minutes if you want a less fudgy center. Mixed all in one bowl with no chocolate to melt separately beyond the chips and butter.
