Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies
Soft, golden-edged chocolate chip cookies baked right in the air fryer, no oven required. Chill a big batch of dough and bake off just as many as you want at a time.
Ingredients
- ½ cupunsalted butter · 1 stick, room temperature
- ½ cuplight brown sugar · packed
- ¼ cupgranulated sugar
- 1large egg
- 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
- 1 ½ cupsall-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoonbaking powder
- ½ teaspoonbaking soda
- ¼ teaspoonsalt
- 1 ¼ cupschocolate chips
Steps
- 1
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the butter and sugars. Mix at medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes, until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
- 2
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
- 3
Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.
- 4
Using a medium spring-loaded cookie scoop, level and roll about 1.5 tablespoons of dough per cookie and place on a prepared baking sheet. You should get about 24 cookies. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- 5
When ready to bake, line the air fryer with parchment paper and preheat to 325°F.
- 6
Place the cookie dough balls about 1 inch apart in the basket, leaving room to spread. If using parchment paper, slightly flatten the dough balls to weigh the paper down and keep it from flapping around.
- 7
Bake for 7 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Creator's notes
Great for summertime baking so you don't have to turn on the oven, and ideal for "meal prepping" — prep a big batch of dough and air fry only as many cookies as you need.
