Gyro Pita Bites
Greek-seasoned chicken and crisp peppers and onions bake inside mini pita cups until the edges turn golden. A cool tzatziki-style yogurt drizzle and fresh dill finish these handheld bites off in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 poundchicken breast or thighs · thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoonsolive oil
- 1 pouchMcCormick® Greek Style Gyro Seasoning & Sauce Duo
- 3small pitas · cut into fourths
- 2 clovesgarlic · minced
- 12mini pita breads
- 1/2 cupred bell peppers · sliced
- 1/2 cupred onion · sliced
- —Greek yogurt · for the sauce
- —fresh dill · for garnish

Preheat your oven to 425°F.

In a large bowl, mix the olive oil and Greek Style Gyro Seasoning. Add the sliced chicken and toss to coat. Let marinate for 20 minutes.

Place 1/4 of one pita into each cup of a 12-cup muffin tin, pressing gently to form a bowl.

Divide the marinated chicken, bell peppers, and onions evenly among the pita cups.

Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the pita edges are golden brown.

While the cups bake, whisk together Greek yogurt with the Greek Style Gyro Sauce.

Drizzle the sauce over the chicken cups, then top with dill. Serve immediately.
