Ingredients
- 4boneless skinless chicken breasts · 6 ounces each
- 1 tablespoonItalian seasoning
- 1 teaspoonpaprika
- 1 teaspoonsalt
- 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
- 1 tablespoonolive oil
- 2garlic cloves · minced
- 1/2 cupchicken stock
- 1 cupheavy cream
- 1/2 cupsun-dried tomatoes · chopped
- 1/2 cupgrated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoonred pepper flakes
- 1/4 cupfresh basil leaves · chopped
Steps
- 1
Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- 2
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side, then transfer to a plate. It does not need to be cooked through yet.
- 3
Add the garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the chicken stock, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- 4
Lower the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes, then simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 5
Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the top, and simmer uncovered for 10-12 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- 6
Stir in the fresh basil just before serving. Serve the chicken with extra sauce over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
