Toasted Quinoa Chocolate Date Clusters
Toasted quinoa gets folded into melted chocolate and chopped dates for a crunchy, chocolatey freezer snack. Three ingredients, no baking, and about 15 poppable bites.
Ingredients
- 1 cupuncooked quinoa
- 1 cupchocolate chips
- 1/4 cupdates · chopped
Steps
- 1
Heat a pan over medium heat and add the raw quinoa. Stir until you start to hear the quinoa pop, 5-8 minutes.
- 2
Lower the heat to low, add the chocolate chips and dates, and stir until the chocolate is just melted and everything is well combined.
- 3
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the quinoa mixture and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The mixture will be sticky and hard to form, so it's fine if the clusters aren't smooth and round.
- 4
Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the clusters set for 20 minutes.
Creator's notes
They will be sticky and hard to form, so it's fine if they are not smooth and round. You'll get about 15.
