Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Cheese Bread
Bite-size pizza dough balls stuffed with melty mozzarella, seasoned with Italian herbs and garlic, and arranged into a festive tree for pulling apart. Brushed with butter and finished with parsley and parmesan, it's made for dunking in warm marinara.
Ingredients
- 1 poundprepared pizza dough
- 8mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 1/2 teaspoonsItalian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoongarlic powder
- 1large egg
- 1 tablespoonwater
- 2 tablespoonsbutter · melted
- 1 tablespoonfresh parsley · finely chopped
- 1 tablespoongrated parmesan cheese
- 1 cupmarinara sauce · for serving
Steps

Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Let the prepared dough come to room temperature for 15 minutes.

Cut each mozzarella cheese stick into 4 pieces to make 32 bite-size pieces. Roll out the dough and cut it into 32 squares.

Place one mozzarella cube on each dough square and sprinkle with the Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Fold the edges into the center, pinch them closed, and roll each into a ball in your hands.

Transfer the balls to the prepared baking sheet seam-side down, arranging them in the shape of a tree with a small trunk at the bottom. Bake the 3 extras off to the side.

Whisk the egg and water in a small bowl and brush each ball with the egg wash.

Bake for 16-18 minutes, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.

Brush the hot rolls with the melted butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese.

Serve immediately with marinara or your favorite dipping sauce.
